Yes, I Did

When we arrived at our caucus location, the line was out the door and down the sidewalk. Once inside it was obvious they were not expecting this large a turn-out, because they were already running low on sign-in sheets, ballots, and all the chairs in our precinct caucus room were full, with people standing in corners.

We arrived early.

Wow... you have a handicapped endorsement for your car? My friend [livejournal.com profile] decadentdave can't get one (though he is blind) because, naturally, he doesn't drive. He lives in Manitoba.

Actually, it's not for the car, it is mine personally, issued by the state.

The way it works in Minnesota (for someone who is blind) is that, the handicapped placard is issued and assigned to me (it's the type that hangs from the rear view mirror), and I can use it in whatever vehicle I am a passenger in.

The kind of amusing thing was: When he applied for the placard on grounds of being blind, that was the catalyst for them revoking his driver's license.* The DMV giveth, and the DMV taketh away.

*Of course, he had already stopped driving, on doctor's orders.
