Back To School
Apr. 25th, 2004 04:10 pmToday is the final day of vacation. Tomorrow I start my classes at Vision Loss Resources. I'm both happy and scared. Happy because I'm off to start the rest of my existence and get the training I need to better function out there in the Big Bad World. Scared because I'm starting something new, which is always a scary thing.
I finished converting my old poems and haiku over to electronic format. I only saved about a tenth of the original work, which was probably being too kind. No new reviews from the Workshop, but I can be patient. I need to upload the updated version to the workshop, probably tomorrow night. I still need to get "Anansi" and "Callooh Calley" out the door, hopefully early next week. I suspect that for the next two or so weeks I won't get a whole lot of writing done. School will probably leave me wiped out, at least until I get use to the daily grind of bus riding, classes, and whatnot. Once I've established a new routine I should be able to get back to the keyboard regular, even if regular is only three or four hours a week.
The basement project is winding down. The sump pump is installed, the basement cement work is finished and today I managed set the washer and dryer up. Hopefully the landlord will come and hang sheet rock soon.
careswen has started going through our old clothing, deciding what gets stored, what gets set out and what gets donated to charity.
I'd like to say hello to all the folks who have added me as a friend recently. I hope I can amuse you, or inform you, or at last not bore you to tears.
