Today was one of those golden days. I settled in at noon and wrote 2000 words by 6 p.m. This is for the revision of my story "Over the Bridge", the one that placed in the semi-finals in the Hubbard contest. I looked at the critique from the contest judge, I reviewed the workshop critiques, and decided on a few modifications. I'm going to let the story sit for a day or two before I go back and see which revisions actually work. I feel good about the whole thing. Days like today make me love being a writer even more than usual.

I plan to write some crits on the Online Writers Workshop tomorrow, send a story to workshop, then settle in with "Move Along Home" for the rest of the afternoon. I hope I can transfer today's buzz to tomorrow.

My sister called from Texas last night. It was good to hear her voice. The family just moved into a larger and yet cheaper house, so huzzah to them. I know sister reads my Live Journal, but I really need to do a better job of staying in touch with my family.

This year at CONvergence I had a kid in an elevator, after taking in my white cane and dark glasses, ask if I was Daredevil. Well, next year the convention theme is, irony of ironies, superheroes. So, I plan to wear my suit and go as Matt Murdock. Daredevil always was one of my favorite superheroes. Second only to Batman actually. However, I don't plan on wearing red spandex and jumping from rooftop to rooftop. The large blind man will not wear a skintight suit, or run anywhere fast. Unless it is late Saturday night at the Con and, after suffering two days of horrible Con food, you walk past me with a pan of lasagna from Fat Lorenzo's. If you are silly enough to do that, be prepared to be chased down.

Well, back to work,

Peace and Love
Michael
