Happy Thanksgiving
Nov. 26th, 2004 12:44 amThe traditional Thanksgiving Day dinner has been cooked and consumed by
careswen and myself. Soon we shall toddle off to bed like the old geezers we are slowly and, I hope, gracefully becoming. Okay, well maybe I'm the only one heading toward Old Geezerdom. So before bed I thought I'd follow my lovely wife's example and post a few things I'm thankful for this year.
I'm thankful for my lovely and loving wife
careswen, without whom I'd be much less than I am.
I'm thankful that I have eaten, and not been eaten.
I'm thankful that life has allowed me an opportunity to pursue my ambitions.
I'm thankful that I can read. I'm thankful that if I am unable to read a printed book because the print is too small for me to handle, I can order that book in Braille or Audio from the Library of Congress.
I am thankful for the wonderful friends in my life, who have filled my days with joy and laughter.
I am thankful that life has thrown me several challenges over the years. Without them I would never have discovered just how much I truly am capable of.
I am thankful for everyday that I get to continue being alive, and for the new experiences, good and bad, each day brings.
I am thankful I am able to still experience, and be amazed by, the simple, ordinary wonders of the world we live in.
Enough said.
In Peace
Michael
