Breakfast and Bullets
Jan. 14th, 2005 03:40 pmOnly about 900 words so far today, but it's a scene I'm enjoying. I'm enjoying it so much, I'm trying extra hard to make sure I get it just right.
Old Man Lobo is having breakfast at Hell's Kitchen after a long night of annoying Jack. As he sips his coffee and waits for his plate of bison sausages and eggs to arrive, his cousin appears in the chair next to him and shoves a pistol into his side. I imagine things are going to go downhill at this point.
The Tim Malloys are wailing away on the speakers behind me. The cat is sleeping on the table at my right hand. I have a cup of black decaff coffee and a scene that seems to be writing itself.
Life is good.
