So far it's been an odd and busy week. [livejournal.com profile] careswen's schedule at work is messy, with meetings and other things causing her to work odd hours, which in turn affects my hours. Still, some good stuff coming up this week, including going to The Lion King at the Orpheum Theater tonight, then Gaelic Storm at the Fine Line on Friday night. This will include a little creative navigation, as Highway 100 will be closed between Highway 62 and County 7 all weekend, and we live smack in the middle of that closure. France Avenue and 50th street will be our friends this weekend, I'm thinking.

Progress Note on The Novel Which Might Soon Have A Name, But I'm Not Saying Yet Because I Don't Want To Jinx It

This section of the novel is pretty much writing itself. I've got the next several sections figured out, so I'm just cruising along. One problem I'm am having is that I'm not completely sure how it's all going to end. One of the dangers of taking a group of interesting characters, getting them into a difficult setting, and then seeing what happens to them, is that the ending can be a bit unclear until you actually reach it. Originally this novel was planned to center around two primary characters and a few secondaries. It became an ensemble cast, each with their moments in the spotlight, each with their plot lines tied to the others.

And Out Among The Singing Void, shall remain the title of my urban fantasy/cyberpunk story after all. I had to make a couple of minor adjustment to the ending (thank you, [livejournal.com profile] careswen, for pointing out a couple of things that needed fixing!), and when the new paragraphs were written, the old title suddenly fit again. One final read through, then out the door!

Once I finish this section of the novel, I may have to stop and write a few short stories. They're starting to take form in my head, and once they get to that point, it's time to write them. And yes [livejournal.com profile] tiny_wings, one of them will likely be based on your cool piece of art.

Did anyone else notice it was snowing this morning?

Well, back to work!

In Peace
Michael
