Lois McMaster Bujold is a genius. I'm just saying. She read two chapters from a forthcoming work and I can't wait to get my grubby little hands on it.

After the reading a large group of us walked down to Dulano's Pizza. Much beer and pizza was consumed and good conversation was had.

Eric Heideman, the editor of Tales of the Unanticipated told me that both the stories I sent him are still in the running for the next two issues. He's down to his short list and should start letting people know something by the end of February.

Now, for a bit of news. Set aside 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, May the 23rd of 2006 for an evening at DreamHaven Books in Minneapolis. The Speculations Reading Series, Sponsored by SASE -- The Write Place and SF Minnesota, will feature Michael Merriam reading.
