I'm taking a break for lunch. I expect the groceries to be delivered soon. The mail being is on his way.
So far this morning I've:
Cut "Into the Equation" down from 12,000 words to 9,000 words. I'm happy with the results, more or less. The story still has problems. I think it's time to kick it over to my writer buddies for a serious mauling.
Rewrote "Shades of Light and Foam" from the ground up. I'm much happier with the current version. I've plugged the plot holes and made some serious changes, but it is still the same story at its core. Thank you
merebrillante for helping me figure out what the problems with the story were.
Halfway through a rewrite of "Anansi." I wrote this piece in early 2003, rewrote it in late 2004. It has almost sold three times, but has, according to the editors, fallen just short. I'm tackling it now with the skills I've developed over the last couple of years. Anyone know a good market for a 6500 word YA Urban Fantasy?
Listened to music by The Real Mackenzies and Dust Rhinos. Next up: The Tim Malloys and The Young Dubliners.
I'll check in later. Love you all.
Back to work.
