Weekend Report

Despite the fact that I haven't slept in over 26 hours, the weekend was a rousing success.

careswen's birthday went wonderful. Good friends and good conversation, and I prepared a mountain of kabobs for the grill. There was limbo and hula dancing. Seriously.

The best quote of the weekend came from careswen: "Pay less attention to the klezmer music and more attention to the hula dancing."

That was followed by a fun night of game playing with markgritter and company. I did not get a chance to visit with everyone I wanted to (like songwind and co.), but I'm sure there will be opportunities in the future.

Next year careswen will be celebrating her birthday at Wiscon.

Now it is back to reality, such as it is. I have a new short story to start working on, and I need to set my office back up (we took it down so we could use the big table my computer sits on for a food table during the birthday party).

And The Next Project Is

A Little Red Riding Hood story.

Set in space.

With a moderately high body count.

And perhaps one large explosion.

Possibly there will be zombies.

After that the re-write on the Rapunzel story.

Then it's Zombies for Christ next up.

After that, Phantom Streetcars and Roy Orbison.

Maybe I'll finish my Ghosts Caught in Cathode Ray Tubes story eventually.

I am now around 37 hours without sleep.

I'm wide awake.
