I had some weird food allergies as a kid (chocolate, strawberries) but I grew out of them and had no problems until I hit my forties. Then new, different allergies flaired up: Rodents, dust, possibly bee stings. Dust! I love dust because the alternative is, yanno, DUSTING. Bleah. Anyway I guess this onset of new allergies at midlife is pretty common, or so my doc told me. I have my little inhaler and use it when I need it. So far I have escaped new food allergies but, if I get some new ones, I am hoping to be allergic to beets and hominy.
EEwwww
