Award Nomination

I was nominated for the 2006 Preditors and Editors Reader's Choice Award in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Short Story category for "The Siege of Harnlow" in Gryphonwood Fantasy Magazine.

I came in 23rd.

Don't get me wrong: I'm glad for the nomination. I was just a bit surprised to discover this after the fact.

It is a very good thing. I was just surprised no one bothered to tell me I was nominated in the first place.

Wow, that does seem a bit strange. Wonder why they do it that way? I suppose they have their reasons, but it does seem a bit weird.

I'm just surprised that Dave, the editor at Gryphonwood, didn't email me with the news. He did post it the Gryphonwood sight, but I haven't been there since just before Christmas. I found out when I went to read the site this morning.
