This is the same reason I'm almost certainly not doing DragonCon this year - it's gotten too crowded, and in crowds, people sometimes don't see me in my chair - they just are looking at heads at their visual level. And I won't get into the elevator issues.
Glad you don't have to give up conventions completely, though :)
