Moving Along

mmerriamI've been able to do more writing over the last few days, mostly by sleeping less, reading less, and being on the internet less. I'm not back to pre-job levels, but I'm at least moving in the right direction.
I think one of the reasons--besides poor time management--that I wasn't getting any writing in, is that I've hit a point where I feel like I'm...not necessarily doing it wrong, but could be doing it better. I get the sense that I'm at the edge of understanding something new about what I do, but I haven't quite put my finger on it yet.
I'd be more happy about the 1100 words I've written in the last couple of days if I wasn't so sure that I'm back to working on short fiction in an effort to avoid writing the novel synopsis. I just need to suck it up and get the silly thing written. Tomorrow would likely be the best time or me to do so, since I'm off from my outside job. I do have errands to run tomorrow, but I should be done by noon. Friday will be taken up by housework and preparations for Saturday's game session, so it's right out.
I also have stories I need to send back out the door. You can't sell them if you don't submit them.
Which is why I need to suck it up and write the synopsis.
