It is a subject I've thought about any number of times and meant to make a post on, but cakmpls really gets to the heart of the matter. This is good stuff and with good conversation in the comments.

I have to say that with two kids who have just recently entered their 20's and one still in his teens, I've seen a lot of the effects of what society expects of them.

Society has put today's youth in a difficult spot.
