Sounds interesting and reasonably priced (I think). Have you gone to one before? I've never attended a writers' workshop.

No, I haven't but I'm seriously considering going to this one. The Donald Maass Agency is one of the larger agencies in SF/F/H, with an impressive client list. It just seems like a really good opportunity.

Ugh...That's the final weekend of Renaissance Festival, and I haven't missed a single day of Fest since 2000. However, as Michael says, it's a really good opportunity...what to do?
If only it was a week later, I wouldn't be faced with such a hard choice.

I know. I'm trying to decide if I can actually afford it right now, since we just had two conventions back-to-back and stayed at the hotel for both of them.

I think next year we are not staying at hotels for Minicon and 4th Street. At CONvergence I need one because of the noise and chaos and the fact that I work my ass off at CONvergence, but for the more low-keyed cons I think driving back and forth will work

So yeah, the workshop looks like a really good opportunity, but I'm not sure I can swing the cash.

If you go I'll go

LOL . . .I am looking seriously at attending this one.

I'm a bona fide writing workshop vet but that was literary writing --a different critter -- and I am not so haughty as to think I have nothing left to learn. Heck I still feel like a writing noob every day.

Besides my big fat novel needs SOMETHING . . .I simply do not know how to proceed to make it better.

I am thinking about it. Like I told Dana upstream, I spent a bunch of money at cons this year, so I'm a little worried about the extra expense.
