The Midwest Fiction Writers Fall Harvest of Writing Essentials presents
Writing the Breakout Novel featuring Donald Maass

The cost for the workshop is
$99 for MFW members; $109 for non-MFW members

(After 9/2/2008 the cost will increase by $10)

This Intensive 1-Day Workshop introduces powerful techniques for taking
your fiction to the next level. This hands-on writing workshop is for
advanced fiction writers. Participants must bring a completed manuscript or
novel-in-progress.

Based on the book "Writing the Breakout Novel" by New York literary agent
Donald Maass, this class will cover:

I know. I'm trying to decide if I can actually afford it right now, since we just had two conventions back-to-back and stayed at the hotel for both of them.

I think next year we are not staying at hotels for Minicon and 4th Street. At CONvergence I need one because of the noise and chaos and the fact that I work my ass off at CONvergence, but for the more low-keyed cons I think driving back and forth will work

So yeah, the workshop looks like a really good opportunity, but I'm not sure I can swing the cash.
