Crawling Back To Normal

Slowly, ever so slowly, I'm starting to feel like a human being again, as opposed to a mucus producing sack-of-mostly-water.
Water and juice have been my best friends, with a little tea thrown in for old time's sake.
I poked at Move Along Home yesterday, but it lay on the deck like a dead haddock, so I went away and played with something else. It's probably just as well, I'm unsure if my brain would be able to sustain an extended burst of creativity. So I did edits and re-writes on existing stories. I started working on Jenny's Magic, and I felt it was going slowly, but as well as could be expected, what with a head full of stuff and the attention span of a weasel on four cups of espresso. Then the power went out in the neighborhood and stayed out for nearly four hours.
I didn't feel like working in longhand, so I switched gears. I read from my Braille book, watched a little CNN, and almost finished Pamela Dean's The Secret Country. I took a little nap with the purry-ball-o-fuzz. The plan is to finish the book this morning, rake some leaves, then try to get back to work on the novel.
Wish me luck.
In Peace
Michael
