Despite our moratorium on book buying, we have acquired more books. Darn used book sales!
Datlow, Ellen, Kelly Link and Gavin J. Grant, ed: The Year's Best Fantasy and Horror #17.
Dozois, Gardner, ed: The Year's Best Science Fiction #16.
Hallaway, Tate: Tall, Dark, and Dead.
Morse, Drew, ed: The 2005 Rhysling Anthology.
Pratchett, Terry: Monstrous Regiment.
Zelazney, Roger: Creatures of Light and Darkness.
Also, Apex Science Fiction and Horror issue 7 arrived in the mail.
In other news: Jones Soda's "Candy Corn" soda is way too sweet and tastes way too much like carbonated Karo syrup. Their "Spider Cider" is also very sweet, but has a nice flavor.
490 words on "Untitled 12" aka The Phantom Streetcars Story. We're bearing down on Lakeview Cemetery, and Death has boarded the streetcar. Mae needs to make a transfer before it's too late.

Date: 2006-10-31 08:23 pm (UTC)It's a handy compulsion to have, when our local library is cutting down on its hours, and I can just do my research at home. :)
Cheers on resubmitting. It'll stick somewhere, you just have to find the right direction to throw it.
