Angel Above

When Scott found himself unable to venture out into the real world, it seemed logical to him to move into an imaginary one.

Darkly Through The Light Waters

News travels on swift wings in the Fair Realms, and ill news travels swiftest of all.

The Foundling

The spirit of the mall burst into tears.

Into This Land

Rija decided adding thievery to her new list of crimes seemed trivial, considering she had started with murder and recently added assault.

Jenny's Magic

"All cats can read human thought," the calico said, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Kearsee's Tale

Kearsee, second host of Solirik, made her way toward the seaside village.

Monday

I didn't really understand why I was still seeing, hearing, and thinking, what with a broken neck and not breathing and all.

Rainfall

"No gimps allowed in fairytale land, huh?" Robert said quietly.

Stopping By

The woman nodded, "I think you should go now, Mr. Cochrane, I think you should leave, and never come back."

Untitled Novel A

The Loring Park squirrels smashed into the ranks of the twig creatures, ripping them apart with tiny fingers and sharp teeth.

So my side lost on Tuesday. Well, what's left to do except pick up and go on? I don't like the direction the country is heading, but all I can do is run or fight. I chose fight. I guess I could also stick my head in the sand, but all that would accomplish is me being eaten by the lions without my seeing them coming. The lions might eat me yet, but they're going to have to do it the old fashion way. They'll have to hunt me down, wrestle me to the ground, and look me in the eyes as they start chewing on me. So, I'll go sit over here and lick my wounds until the next battle needs fighting.

Maybe I should run for public office. My entire platform could be "I need a job. Vote Merriam."

State Services for the Blind brought out a new computer system to assist me in my return to college. I pointed out that I wouldn't be returning until next fall, but they said that was fine, I could use it for my writing. [livejournal.com profile] careswen said it seems a bit decadent to have two almost new systems in the house. The new system SSB is loaning me is configured with a laptop and docking port so that I can use the laptop at school, then come home and plug it into the dock to use as a desktop. All the peripherals are USB, so the dock plugs into a USB hub. Just drop the laptop on the dock and bingo. They also set me up with both Magic and JAWS for windows, which should increase the time I can stand to look at a screen with these weak eyes, as well as kersweil scanner software.

This might be the last post I write on my trusty old IBM Thinkpad 760XD. It is the end of an era.

Novel progress slowed to a crawl Wednesday and Thursday, but that's okay. I'm going over my outline again, making sure I've properly connected the dots I feel must be connected so far. Yeah, the story had already veered off the outline a lot, hence the new outline. I'd rather do the work on the front end of the process than on the back end. The more I get right now, the less I re-write later.

That’s all for now.
