The Cat Continues to Plot Our Doom

I just ventured downstairs to find the Reverend Selena sitting in the middle of a fairy-ring made up of crochet mice, glitter balls, and other cat toys. I am concerned about what she might be trying to summon, the more so since she was sitting in the circle, which would lead me to believe that whatever she is trying to conjure will appear outside of the circle. You know, where the humans are. Time to distract her with food, I think.
I realized today that the reason I'm having so much trouble getting started on writing all these short stories that have lined up is that my brain is still dwelling in novelandia. I'm going to pick a short story from the list - one that I have a clear idea of the ending of - put my head down, and bull through a first draft, just to get myself back into the idea of writing shorter tales.
All right, back to it.
