Intact. Coworkers got a front-row seat to the tornado that hit downtown; my office faces away from a window and is around the corner from where the action was.
Raphael, Lydy and I are fine, though we had a power outage. David is in Minnetonka at work and missed everything. Eric is in Chicago waiting to come home, but they delayed his flight by four hours. Oy.
Still here. Actually, was out doing errands, and drove through the worst of it to get home, detouring to avoid downed trees, and going very slowly because traffic lights were out.
Checking in. Jason (BritHistorian) and I spent 45 minutes in the basement with one kid and the wienerdog, until we heard the sirens stop. We only panicked for a little while at the fact that Dylan was at camp in the south of the city and we couldn't get to him on time. They lost power down there (Anodyne Coffee Shop) but we didn't even have a blink up here near Brooklyn Center.
