mmerriamThings went about as well at the ophthalmologist's as could be expected. My cataract surgery is scheduled for early January 2010, but I have plenty of other medical hoops still to jump through beforehand. In other news, I've lost my mind and agreed to be awake for the eye surgery. They'll use a topical anesthetic to deaden the eye and drugs to keep me sedated.
