Today's Epiphany

The reason I've been stopped as a writer lately is not that I don't have any stories to tell (I do), or writer's block (I can hear the words in my head just fine), or that my life has gotten all hectic and stressful (though it has) or that I spend too much time on social network sites (though I do): it is that I've forgotten to be kind to myself.

It was perhaps my greatest moment of enlightenment.

Oh, dear heart. As much as I want to support your writing, that makes me even sadder than those other reasons.

Yesterday I said to timprov, "You know why I am being nice to the mrissa? Because who else is going to make me stew!" Then no one made me stew.

The moral of this comment is not that you should not bother unless there is stew. I want that to be clear.
