Took
careswen by bus to Uptown. We walked north to start with, hitting such shops as Bobby Beads (where
careswen made a small purchase), Global Village, St. Sabrina's and others. Wandered over the Walker Library, and took the elevator down so she could look at the outside up to the street.
We drifted down toward Ragstock, where the unfortunate clothes shopping incident took place. Undaunted, the fearless couple stopped at Uptown Bar to eat and recharge. Then off to Penzey Spices, which is the best smelling place in Uptown, then over to Magers and Quinn, who really should employee me, except that I haven't applied for fear of going bankrupt from buying books. Which we did by the way. Buy books that is, not go bankrupt.
We walked over to Lake and caught the 21 bus up to Bryant, then off to Phoenix Games, were new d20's that willnotwillnotwillnot roll 1's at the worst possible moment were purchased. Then over to Dreamhaven, were I picked up a Flash Girls CD I'd been wanting.
Caught the 21 back to Uptown Station, then the 12 bus back the Miracle Mile in St, Louis Park, which was were we'd left the car. I pointed out a whole bunch of other interesting things to
careswen, such as the Rainbow Building, and the vaguely art deco fresco on the side of the Uptown Theatre.
There were simply too many things to do and see in four short hours. A return trip will be planned.
