Rewrite Ahead!

careswen and had a good long talk with hatfield13 about the Phantom Streetcar Novel. All my trusted readers have reported in.
Next week I will begin the process of breaking the novel down scene by scene, looking over the reader's notes, deciding what I want to do about the reader's notes, creating a new outline, and then settle in and do the hard work of hammering the thing into shape.
I already know several things I'm going to change (mostly things that all the readers hit on) and I'm thinking hard about giving Jill some more POV throughout the novel. Plus, aswordswoman and hatfield13 pointed out, there are too many coincidences in this book. I can probably get away with one big coincidence, but not three.
I am so ready to do this.
A big thank you to each of you who read the thing and offered help, advice, and sharp objects to cut out the crap that doesn't work.
